Youtube fuck bar

Hi, I'm YouTube, and I hate you.

The video sharing website, YouTube has to keep its website free of copyright infringement and videos that break community guidelines. Sometimes they must delete videos and punish the uploader. This action is called a strike. If you get three strikes your channel is deleted. This page archives every strike Multi has received.

May 2013[]

Multi received his first ever copyright strike in May of 2013. This was for "Join the Caillou YouTube Poop Collab" which was a short, muted clip from Caillou with text over it. It's a bit strange how this was targeted over the other Caillou videos on YouTube. The collab was cancelled as a result. Multi was unable to upload videos longer than 15 minutes and had this restriction for 6 months until the strike expired. Multi did not send a counter notification although the video most likely constituted as fair use.

December 2019[]

Multi received a community guidelines warning on December 15th, 2019 for "Bob Brick 2 Full Movie" which was an April fools joke from 2016. It was hit for "scams and deceptive practices" even though it was just an April Fools joke. Community Guidelines warnings do not penalize your account, but remain on your channel as a one time warning before getting a strike. Multi still has this warning to this day.

On December 30th, 2019 a copyright strike was given for "The Legend of Frosty the Snowman Review." This was because a content id claim was placed on the video which Multi disputed twice which meant the only option left for the claimant was to copyright strike it. Multi sent a counter notification and the video was reinstated and monetized with no further escalation.

May 2021[]

On May 25th and 28th, both of the compilations of 9/11 jokes from retired YTPist, Cartoonlover98 were removed from Multi's YTP channel, Multicoolmovies3 this was allegedly for "glorifying criminal organizations" which makes no sense because they were only jokes. Around May and June of 2021, many other youtubers faced issues with strikes over the same policy, including the next one.

June 2021[]

On June 9th, 2021 the SFM animation "How it feels to be forced to watch a long video" was removed for the "criminal organizations policy." This video was an animated remake of Ian Kung's short of the same name (which wasn't removed for some reason.) Multi's channel was demonetized entirely and possibly permanently. Multi was unable to get an appeal or TeamYoutube on twitter to reinstate the video. Hope seemed lost until Multi was able to get help from the Youtube forums. The video was reinstated and monetization was reenabled.

March 2022[]

On March 23, 2022 the Professor Shadow episode, "Edgy Vidya Games" was removed for "predatory content" and "sexualizing minors." Absolutely no sexual content appears in the video. The only child related thing was an image of the Napalm Girl from the Vietnam War which was used in an appropriate context. Just like the previous strike, Multi was unable to post or upload for a whole week. The strike was not removed, but rather expired after three months.

Other times YouTube has screwed over Multi.[]

  • In fall of 2012, Multi had to delete several old videos because they were blocked worldwide for content ID which made his channel "not in good standing."
  • In 2011 and 2013, YouTube would make major changes to the channel layout and force the users to use them. The 2013 layout, One Channel, is the current layout to this day.
  • In November of 2013, YouTube required all channels to link to Google+, a failed excuse for a social media website which was shut down in 2019. Good riddance. (This change also royally messed up the comment section features and that is still like that to this day.)
  • Unknown when, but all of Multi's comments he had posted on other videos have been deleted up until the Google+ change. (Perhaps this is for the best, who knows what dumb crap Multi said as a kid.)
  • Copyright content ID system is incredibly overbearing and unfair. If it recognizes even a second of footage then the video is demonetized. For a while the 3rd party owner could also claim all revenue although it's been changed to so the 3rd party owner can only make money if it's at least 10 seconds of content. The process to remove strikes is a pain in the butt and can take over a month until everything is reinstated with monetization.
  • Videos being age restricted. In May 2021, "Stretch the Hell out of Mokey and Dilan" was age restricted for 18+ even though there's no adult content in it. The age restriction decimated the video's popularity. Thankfully, the restriction was removed and the video went back to getting a lot of views.
  • Multi reuploaded the video of Behind the Meme's "suicide" which was obviously a fake skit onto Multicoolmovies2 and it was deleted. However, no punishment was given out so it wasn't considered a strike. Also, this removal was pretty much justified on YouTube's part.
  • The countless amount of videos that have been or still are demonetized for not being "advertiser friendly" ever since the Adpocalypse in late 2016. This demonetization is why the swearing in season 4 of Professor Shadow was censored.

Other Websites that have screwed over Multi.[]

  • Twitter (Multi has been banned twice. He lost an account from 2013 in 2017 and then lost the account he made in 2017 in 2018. He is still currently using the 2018 account. SHHH!)
  • Reddit (Multi has been banned an ungodly amount of times from different subreddits, as well as getting accounts deleted because of angry virgin mods.)
  • Webs (They temporarily removed his untouched website from 2012. Come on, guys! I was totally using that!)
